Reynolds brought in DreamBuilt for construction and The Johnson Studio for interior design, the same team behind the National Tavern and the Creek Club clubhouse before it.

The restaurant went on to place second in the remodeled private food and beverage facility category at the 2025 Golden Fork competition and landed a feature in Golf Inc. Magazine's March/April 2025 issue. That timeline is the point: the restaurant's reopening is not August 2026 news.

What is worth paying attention to, if you already live here, is something the executive chef said when the space opened. Chef Zouhair Bellout, Reynolds' Executive Chef and Director of Culinary, described the approach behind the menu this way:

"We seek and find the freshest seasonal greens, fish, and vegetables and take a fresh approach in how we prepare these dishes. The menu will evolve and continually change with the seasons."

That is not a throwaway line. It means the Wagyu Beef Sliders, Szechuan Sautéed Shrimp, and Grilled North Carolina Swordfish that got singled out as instant favorites at the opening are not necessarily what is on the table today. New overnight cottages at The Landing

On June 1, 2026, Reynolds opened the Landing Cottages at Parkland Court, a collection of twelve two-story cottages sitting across from the amenity center, right in the middle of the community. Each cottage has four ensuite bedrooms, a guest bathroom, and generous common space, with porches built for indoor-outdoor living. The stated audience is families and groups traveling together, which tells you plainly what this product is for.

This is not homeowner inventory. It joins Reynolds' existing overnight lodging portfolio alongside the condominium residences at Village at Lake Club Pointe and the National Club Cottages near The National, sitting apart from the Ritz-Carlton's 257 rooms as a more residential-feeling option for visiting guests. In other words, the newest thing at The Landing this year was built for people who are staying a few nights, not for the people who already own here.

The cottages sit near The Landing's amenity center, while the rec complex and trails are longstanding community features.

Everyday amenities at The Landing

The part of The Landing that does the real work of daily life here has gotten almost no fresh press this year, which is a little ironic given how much of your actual routine runs through it. The rec complex at The Landing includes:

• A 30-foot waterslide and beach-entry pool, with a splash pad for younger kids
• Recreational fields for basketball, pickleball, and bocce ball, plus tennis courts and a playground
• Access to a broader network of Reynolds trails, with roughly 21 miles threading through the community, some of the closest stretches running right past The Landing's own fields
